Dahmer's dead... [Sep. 20th, 2005|01:59 am]

But... Charles Manson is up for a parole hearing in 2007.

Oh, and we knew he was loony.. but did you know that he thought that the Beatles were worshipping him and sending him messages in their songs? Specifically songs off of the white album and that he used them in his teachings. He thought the Beatles thought he was Christ.

Crazy!

Like most weird children, I had a bit of a short obsessive interest in serial killers... specifically Dahmer, Bundy, Manson and Gacy.. you know.. those creepiest of the creepies...

Although my interest was probably more sparked by local and family history and Unsolved Mysteries than anything too creepy about me.. which probably wasn't too comforting to my mother as she asks what her 8 yr old is reading and its a true crime book about the Manson murders...;)

Manson has been up for parole.. what... every 12 years or so.. and as the most infamous living cult leader and serious murderer (not to mention the crimes THEMSELVES) even though they can't link HIM to the actual violence.. the very fact that he still has a following willing to do anything for him.. is enough to keep most judgest believeing he needs to stay behind bars and not asking groups of people to paint the walls of a house with Beatles lyrics using a dying fetus pulled fresh from a womans stomach... plus the fact that Manson still holds his convictions after all these years.

There is! Check it out...

http://www.charliemanson.com/links.htm

I may have an interest in crime and a continuing interest in explicity grisly crimes... but I in no way look to these men as heros or gods.. or even human usually! Its more of a way of watching just how terrible humanity can be.. and how much so many of us seem to love being that way and are just waiting for an opportunity to become INhuman.

To me, G. W. Bush is nearly as good of an example of mans hatred for man, as Manson or Dhamer.

Ahh! I hail from the realm of Bundy, Yates, The Green River Killer, and Pickton! All of who have been convicted of, or confessed to, at LEAST 30 victims a piece. A;; but Bundy seemed to prefer the Prostitute Victim variety of creepy serial sex and mutilation murders.

Not to mention home of Butler.. the head of the Aryan Nation and the previous Headquarters for the Aryan Nation was a 40 min drive away from my home.

I also live in an area of the country with the nations highest rates of Multiple Sclerosis. O yes.. I live in quite an "Interesting" place. Racists, serial killers, sex offenders (o, we have TONS of them) and health defects.. probably because of all the nuclear waste that is inappropriately stored nearby and one of the most important AFB in the US which also was a local tester of the Stealth Bomber in the 80's which really made us well known for several years superceeding New Mexico as the state with the highest number of UFO reports in the U.S. Ahh.. good old boring Washington State;) Hey, the Cowboy Killer was from up round these parts too.. Interesting.

I grew up hearing about the capture of Ted Bundy (who was a regular in city bars around town, and cruised the local college campuses) and about the mystery of the Green River Killer. Both Yates and Pickton were unknowns at the time... and the local media never even let it be known that there had been a serial killer suspected in town for over 20 years.. until Yates got caught.

And anytime Unsolved Mysteries talks about mysteries that you already know about and are of 'local' interest when you're 7, 8 and 9... you're damned-well gonna stay up and learn some more!! Or, at least, I did.

If there was a horrific event I knew about, I studied it intensly. Salem Witch Trials, The Spanish Inquisition, The Holocaust, The Burning of Rome, all of the outbreaks of the Bubonic Plague in Europe, Ebola outbreak, Influenza outbreak, The sacking of Alexandria, the genocide of the Native Americans all over North, Central and South America, the Slave trade in early America, Ancient and Medieval torture methods...

The dark, bloody, hysterical (not in the funny way), macabre, dismal, disgusting, horrifying,... they all held a particular interest to me. Mainly in mans constant need to kill itself off by killing eachother. I still find that kind of crap just immensly intriguing from a personal, sociological, anthropological, philisophical and psychological point of view.

OK lets take this a littel nearer home shall we

Sad isn't it Salem was about hysteria and ill education... aren't they all.

Well it is probably about halucinatory effects of ergot but hey who am I to know about such things.

Want to hear something a bit more ancient?

And very much more personal

Come to my fire children....gather around and learn about the Witches of Pendle

http://www.pendlewitches.co.uk/
http://www.lancs.ac.uk/users/history/studpages/lanchistory/pendle.htm
http://www.pendlewitchproject.co.uk/

This is something that happened way before salem but does not ahve the world wide publicity...and the connection to me?

Elizabeth Demdyke (old mother Demdyke herself) is my ancestor.

Those of you who don't really know me...wait thats everyone ;-)...will not know that I live in the shadow of Pendle, as my family and families family and my families families family before them...[Mad laughter fades into the distance]

WoooooooH SpoooooooKy
