In the late 19th century, millions of human mummies were used as fuel for locomotives in Egypt where wood and coal was scarce, but mummies were plentiful.

It would be infinitely renewable until the universe reaches thermal equilibrium and absolutely no work can be done.

That would be the heat death of the universe.

We could also wait for the mummies to decay into fossil fuels.

Yay for thermal equilibrium!

No, boo for thermal equilibrium; everything will be dead, nothing will be able to happen, and, since the universe appears to be a closed system (no energy can be added or removed), there's nothing anyone could do.

The future is cloudy, I don't know if we would have died by war by that time, or if we would fall victim to disease and die out. Those are the two ways I think the Human race will go out.

Global warming may well play a part too.

I'd be more worried about various cancers we would get from radiation from the sun since we are beating the shit out of our ozone, not to mention the effect it would have on our crops, if we are lucky only the leafy plants will die out. We could live on beans and potatos!

There's a precedence for missing that.

I don't see why people are so horrible afraid of the end of existance. Once we are gone, that's it, we won't be around to fret about it so why worry now? What happened to all the people living for today? Were are all the Dreamers?

You honestly think that there's enough dead to supply the fuel needs of the world?

Of course not; this is pure theory.

I would have to know how much energy a dead person could make before I come up with a guesstamite on that. Lets use a body and see!
