In the late 19th century, millions of human mummies were used as fuel for locomotives in Egypt where wood and coal was scarce, but mummies were plentiful.

See, I think it would be more helpful to find other available resources to not have to be fuel dependant. :)

Well, I imagine only mummified or very recently dead would work, and with hummers, suv's and pick up trucks at an all time high I doubt the past ten years supply would meet even one year of the American oil need.

I wouldn't think so. Handling raw meat is more disgusting. These would be totally dried out and covered in cloth.
