*Clap... clap... clap...*
The sarcastic clapping family from East Hampton? Anyone?
sad that now people can buy mirrors at the dollar store.
I was thinking that too. LOL. I've bought so many cheap mirrors over the years... my ancestors would have lifted their skirts to pay for one.
Having a mirror in the room you sleep in can cause nightmares...
I had some horrible ones when I stayed with someone who had an entire wall made of mirrors on their apartment (People in california seem to think it makes the room look bigger... I think it makes the room look tacky, heh.).
Ugh. One whole side of my living room in the last apartment before I moved back into this house had mirrors. Not just mirrors. 70's gold speckled mirrors.. ie: Porn Movie Mirrors. Very trashy/icky. Glad I moved out of there, otherwise I BET I would have had nightmares.
the room i sleep in now used to be my brother's room and he wouldnt keep mirrors in there because he said the room
becuase he said it was haunted and that you could see the ghosts/spirits or whatever in the mirrors. and now i have this big mirror on my dresser and it really creeps me out.
Vanity, I gotta love it. I have a mirror that is a pert of the headboard of my bed.
or that the person who broke it was made an indentured servent for seven years if they broke someone elses mirror
and my mirror definately holds my soul :-P
Oooh. Most likely. I know it wouldn't be, but sometimes I think it would be fun to be an indentured servant. Especially like say to Alan Rickman?
Mrs. Books hmm...is that a new nickname? Wait, just saw the current music selection...makes more sense. Aufweidersehen, Frau Bucher!
i dont like mirrors cuz like in scary movies, when the person walks into the bathroom, they bend over and then the bad comes and then they look up and hes there and then he kills them.
There is that.
And the ghosts.

hahaha i always wondered where that myth came from
As did I, which made this really an interesting find. :)
my grandmother used to stop clocks and cover mirrors when someone would die...always...
I've heard of people doing that.
I refuse to look at my own reflection in the dark at night. I saw something that terrified me one night and have averted my eyes ever since.
I know EXACTLY how you feel. Sometimes at night when I go to the bathroom for a moment my face changes into something just evil, you know? Like my eyes turn evil and my face changes... oh, and sometimes I see a second face.. I blink and they're gone, but Lord that's scary, you know?
posted tiny reply above, but buggie reminds me...every played Bloody Mary with a mirror?
*shudder* Yes. And I've had issues with ever looking in one at night ever since. I turn on like every light on the floor when I go to the bathroom after 10.

So did you talk this over with Mel Brooks?
Or did young Frankenstein himself tell you?

Re: So did you talk this over with Mel Brooks?
It was actually Madeline Kahn. ;)
