Hey, a lot of them didn't have a choice, There were thousands of little Jewish kids in the Hitler Youth. I am a friend of one of them, he works at my City's Halocaust Museum.

I'm not saying they all wanted to be there.

I'm wagering not all of them *didn't* want to be there, either. Whether they had a choice or not isn't really what the issue is. It's how much they took to heart.

I'd wager alot of them didn't really take to any of it. But, at the same time, I'd wager some did.

And, the current pope said some things that made me wonder how much or how little he wanted to be in the program :p

Dosn't really matter that much to me, either way. Unless he starts going about Catholocism in a very hitler-esque way, heh.

I'd be more worried about Bush going in a very Hitler-esque way.

Well, they are buddies. The new Pope sent word all over America to the biships and Cardinals that the Democratic nominee, and all who supported him were to be denied the sacrement.

Well, he clearly agrees with some of Hitlers policies.

Just check his track record.

Then he was there because he needed to hide, and was pretending to be a Non-Jewish German citizen. That's something entirely different. To have no Jewish blood in you, and to agree to be part of this Hitler Youth group was a choice you could make. If you didn't you would have been sent to a labor camp -- NOT A DEATH CAMP, or charged money, or sent to prison for a little while. Many honorable German citizens took this route, rather then doing the terrible things that the Hitler Youth were required to do. Do you know that they were issued puppies, to love and care for, to treat as their own pet, and after loving and caring for these puppies they were told to kill them? So that they would learn to be desenstized to death, that they could kill even something they loved if they were ordered too. It's disgraceful and disgusting that someone who agreed with these policies enough to join willingly, by all accounts, is now the religious icon and leader for Catholics of the world.
