On it's July 30 "Family Fun" page the Kansas City Star ran a blurb on National Clown Week. Accompaning the text, naturally enough, was a photo of a clown. But the editor selecting the file photo neglected to look at the flipside which would have revealed that the clown in question was John Wayne Gacy, a Chicago serial killer ( and one time clown) executed for killing 33 boys and young men. The Star apologized the next day in an editor's note.


Bad editor. Ouch.

I imagine that such an editor would be among those on folks on the group W bench. That sort of mistake is like freshman journalism bad.

If not worse. lol. ;) I bet most journalism freshman wouldn't make that mistake.
