According to Greek mythology, the three-headed watchdog Cerberus was said to guard the entrance to Hades. Although it was sometimes said to have as many as a hundred heads, most accounts describe Cerberus as having only three heads and the tail of a serpent. The center head was that of a lion, and the other two resembled a dog and a wolf. Cerberus was the offspring of the giant Typhon and Echidna, a monstrous snakelike creature. Heracles temporarily brought Cerberus to the upper world as the last of his Twelve Labors.

And a human evolution animation.

Also off topic.. who here has had a headache that won't go away in the last couple of weeks? Like 90% of the people I know have had ongoing headaches.

I'm wondering if something was released into the air.. minor chemical/biological warfare in the form of terrible terrible headaches.

Am I paranoid?

Was that Cerberus? I thought it was a creature with just one head, but 100 eyes on that head? I can't remember its name, but I do remember the multiple eyes thing ...

Of course, it could also be one of those stories with multiple versions, so who knows?

I'd say it was a mish mash of two or more stories. It was very old but not a scholar's book in any way and definately not a reliable source :) .
