Sex & War.. ahh the constants. [Aug. 13th, 2008|04:43 pm]
[mood |anxiousanxious]
[music |CNN - Fortress New York]

Opinion time! I'm asking for yours!

Have you been following what's going on with Georgia and Russia?

What are your opinions?

There's some information if you're in the dark, or pop on CNN. I've been following it pretty closely the last few days.. and I really REALLY think this could get bad. And fast. And I think this could be a lot more scary then the Iraqi/Afghanistan conflict, and we all kow how many people have died from that conflict.

And I'm especially interested in my Russian and international journallers views as well about this. So please, I welcome your comments and want to know your opinions.

And unrelated...

Have some turtle sex.

Okay, but what about the bombings on civilians? Your talking about what Russia was calling n attack on peacekeepers that led to them bombing civilians, right? I just want to make sure we're talking about the same thing.

i definetly want to avoid defending the russians completely, but the georgians have also launched indescriminate attacks on civillians with rocket barrages in the first instance of breaking the ceasefire. like always both sides are going to kill civilians it happens in all conflicts bar none. i also have no doubt that the russians were waiting for an excuse but i would not even slightly describe georgia as an innocent victims

I haven't heard much about Georgia breaking the ceasefire. That's not being broadcast here. Fascinating. What I found interesting is that the day this all started, CNN had the President of Georgia on, and the anchor was just ATTACKING the president. I mean saying really, really nasty things. I was just shocked. It's interesting how the U.S. opinion shifted overnight. I don't know what it all means, but I think there's a lot to it that isn't being broadcast. I wish I read Russian, so I could read what the bloggers are saying about it.

-- Also, did you hear much about the fact that all of Jordan's internet was attacked, and hacked right before the invasion? I thought that was interesting too.

jordans internet? you mean georgia? i didnt hear anything about that at all. the facts coming out are very few and unreliable but its unbelievable that your not hearing about the fact that georgia started it. alot of people, myself included do not trust putin and dont know what to make of mendevev. im siding with the south ostesians in principle, i can identify it a small bit being irish, but the russians are untrustworthy, militarily speaking. unfortunatly like the rest of the world i cant help but laugh at the words of critcism from bush. theres a black kettle trying to get out of a greenhouse with a stone

That's what I get for typing while I watch the news. lol Yes, I meant Georgia's. Lord.

And exactly, America's credibility is shot. Ugh. :( It's a mess.

I know that Russia just broke the ceasefire they signed with Georgia, that's been reported pretty extensively the past couple of hours.

And I don't trust Putin at all. Not a bit. Ugh. I'm worried. I don't trust Bush either, so I think no matter what happens everyone's gonna be pretty screwed.
