In the beauty industry an olive shade of powder is known as Rachel. The shade was named after a French tragic actress who was famous for her natural facial color. Sadly, her unique skin tone resulted from tuberculosis, which killed her in 1858 at the age of thirty-seven.

Have you ever had to have a TB test? It's weird. They inject this stuff under your skin on either one of your forearms, then you have to come back two days later to have them see if your arm hasn't turned a bright red, or maybe fallen off or something.

I had to have one when I began volunteering at the local hospital

I did. I was sick as hell, and the Doc decided to do that first, before checking for mono.

It was mono.

As am/was I. Not my favorite of fun diseases to get. Just above syphilis on my list.

I would rather not get any diseases. That'd be fun.
