In the beauty industry an olive shade of powder is known as Rachel. The shade was named after a French tragic actress who was famous for her natural facial color. Sadly, her unique skin tone resulted from tuberculosis, which killed her in 1858 at the age of thirty-seven.

Oh, definitely. But it is now. I guess there's kind of that olive brown color that especially if she was a European actress probably wasn't too prevalent.

*laughs* My whole damn family is that dark 'olive' color, I don't really consider it that attractive

But that's because your whole family is that color. If you were ghost white like I am, you'd probably think it was beautiful. It's all about familiarity and exoticness.

I'm pasty as a white-frosted pastry, and I'm attracted to women who are the same.

White skin is fragile looking, and very, very beautiful in my opinion. Much better than that orangish color you get from tanning booths. I am proud of my porcelain skin.
