Kiera Knightley is awesome, but I agree that her in My Fair Lady would be strange.
Oh I don't mind her in some other things I've seen her in. I just don't want to see her as Eliza.. and I don't think she can sing. I may be wrong.. but her vocal quality of her speaking voice doesn't sound like her singing would be very pleasant.
I think they should cast a stage actress as Eliza and then surround her with screen stars. Julie Andrews could be great in a cameo as Higgins' mother.
Oh I hope they do that! That would be awesome!!
Here's an idea, why don't we rerelease the original on to the big screen?
Does Keira Knightly REALLY have that much drawing power?
I will be boycotting that one.
I'm sure I'll see it on HBO or something, but I'm not paying to see it.
LEAVE MY AUDREY ELIZA ALONE!!
LOL. I know!!!
Even if Audrey didn't sing it...
yeah, best damn lipsyncher ever.
Have you ever seen 1776? thats the only musical I enjoy. Of course part of it is because it's based on history. I'm looking into seeing young frankenstein at some point, I'm told it's excelent
I've never seen 1776 live, and have only seen bits and pieces of the film, but I intend to one of these days. ;)
I love historical musicals. You may like Ragtime..
I've heard YF is a blast.
I'm insanely interested with the american revolution, and also by John Adams. Heres a link to my favorite song/scene in the entire play. It's Adams facing the fact that he cannot have an anti slavery clause in the declaration and still ahve it pass. Probably the most stirring song in the entire Play for me.http://youtube.com/watch?v=IzfTqA6IlBY
but but but.....emmy rossum has a lovely voice XD
See... I'm gonna have to disagree entirely, darling.
Plus she's a horrible actress. She has two expressions.
no accounting for taste. either of us lol.
and lol, I couldn't notice in that movie because of all the ridiculously expensive sets. who needs acting when you have MONEY to spend in a movie?
lol, yeah, it definitely had some expensive sets.
Noo! Why are they remaking all of my favorite old movies and turning my favorite books into crappy films? Why?1
ha. i love that.'how to maintain not only a stiff uper lip' funny and useful
I don't think they should make a new film at all!If it ain't broke don't fix it!
After a month of reading marriage preparedness books, that was amazing!
heehee, glad you liked, love.
