Election post time; and I need all of your help. :)
I will need to provide a link to Marta in less then a week in order to share my qualifications, and what concerns I have for the community and what I'm hoping to change.
I would love to have all of your opinions on the following, so that I'm able to make all of YOUR voices heard, in addition to my own. I want to take your concerns into consideration too, because I feel that's an important part of being elected to this advisory board.
1) What do you think is the value of LJ?
2) What changes would you like to see LJ make in the next year?
3) What do you think are the community's greatest concerns?
So if you would please chime in and give me some feedback on these three areas, that would be wonderful. In addition to that, it would be incredible if you were to pass this along to your friends, and onward.
The more responses I have, the more voices that can be heard.
Thank you all in advance, and I look forward to representing you.
And here's a youtube for your trouble. :) How To Play the bagpipe, because I know you've all been aching to learn.
actually, i would love to see an easier spell check. yeah, i've learned how to spell more things because of it, but still!
i have a paid account, and value it very much.
Oooh, I haven't utilized the spell check feature at all, so that's good to know. What part of it is difficult?
And I know, right? I love my permanent account. I couldn't afford it, but I had to get it. I spend way too much time here.
the spell check for the comments is just confusing.
the spell check for posts themselves? first it shows your post with the misspelled words hilighted. then it shows a list of the words you misspelled and possible correct words. THEN it shows your original post, which you may, or may not, edit. with no indication of which words you messed up. you can't edit the top part, with the hilighted misspelled words!
if it's a long, complex post, which i've been known to do, it takes a bit to go back and find all those words. try it yourself, make a post full of misspellings and hit spell check, right next to the post button. you don't have to post it, just take a look on how it works. heck, you can even leave that like that, and offer another button with an easier alternative! i'm easy. :D
Ugh! What a mess. Yeah I'll definitely be looking into that. Thanks for the info.
And your icon? Rocks my world.
thanks! i love the cool pop culture icons. :D
They rock. :) So excited for the new movie!
sad thing, i have to wait until it comes out on dvd, because i'm mostly deaf. it would be like trying to listen to a movie on a runway of a busy airport. :D fail on a massive scale. but it's kinda ok, too. because when i finally do get to watch it, it's at home, after a great deal of planning, and usually a lovely surprise because someone buys it for me! when my family adores a movie, they'll buy the dvd, and ask me to make my really good popcorn, and we'll all watch it together.
That's a bummer about not being able to see it in the theatres but it sounds like an amazing experience when you do get to see the films.
glass half full, you see. :D
i'm a very spoiled rotten gal, here. besides, at home, you can throw popcorn at the tv....it's ok, we have a built in popcorn vacuum, named hush. :D and talk and go back, rewind, to see amazing bits. not to mention sass back to the screen.
one thing i've worked very hard on is being able to laugh and be happy about just about anything. life has tested me in many ways on that resolution. heh.
That's awesome, darlin'. :)
