One of the oldest accounts of ghosts is in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which shows dead people reappearing much as they did before death, including the style of dress.
I'm going to regret this... but have you ever has a visit from a ghost? I've had two, with the second recurring too often to count.
And this is awesome. You click and they give a DOLLAR per click for battered women! If you all clicked we would have over 800 dollars donated in one day, PLUS whatever your friends click if you pass it on.
And your video. :) Very obvious lipsynching. Cracked me up.
Well, the one with the little girl, I wasn't alone, and my Mom saw the same thing. -- The other one I had, which I posted about earlier with the dorm.. there was physical proof. I had left my keys in my room and the room was locked from inside, with my keys still inside, while I was talking to a friend. lol. My Aunt and my sister both have had positive ghost experiences. My Aunt actually saw my Mom after she died and she told her that everything was all right, and that she was happy, and my sister saw her Grandma after she died. The crazy thing is that they both saw them in the same room of the same house, but like 30 years apart..
I can't help but be totally reminded of the Sixth Sense. I feel in a way you're quite lucky in that you have had evidence each time for your encounters, and I'm actually a little bit jealous that it runs in your family when I will probably never experience anything like it. Do you think it's possible to talk to ghosts, and affect or soothe them? And if so, would you want to do so if you had an encounter in the future?
I've been told by many other people who've had encounters, that it totally is possible, and that I reacted badly with my dorm ghost, which is why he kept messing with me so much. I don't know if I'd be able too. I'm sure I should have told him it was okay to move on to the other side or what not, but I was so freaked out, and then I was angry because I wasn't sleeping.. and still freaked out. So I never did much more then yelp, cry or hide under my covers like a baby.
And I can see why you'd be jealous of it to a certain extent because on first glance it seems like a really cool thing, and some people that have it think it is, but I'm not a huge fan of the ability, honestly. It freaks me out.
with your dorm room experience... what college did you go to? I remember my friends telling me about a dorm room at Pace University that was haunted bya ghost of a former tenant who committed suicide.
It wasn't Pace. I actually went to college in New York.
