Dollars for the singing dead. [Apr. 8th, 2008|02:24 pm]
[mood |fullfull]
[music |Alive - Jekyll & Hyde]

One of the oldest accounts of ghosts is in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which shows dead people reappearing much as they did before death, including the style of dress.

I'm going to regret this... but have you ever has a visit from a ghost? I've had two, with the second recurring too often to count.

And this is awesome. You click and they give a DOLLAR per click for battered women! If you all clicked we would have over 800 dollars donated in one day, PLUS whatever your friends click if you pass it on.

And your video. :) Very obvious lipsynching. Cracked me up.

ME TOO! Isn't it so scary when they move shit around you!? I freaked the hell out. lol.

I'm way to in- tune. I wish I wasn't quite as receptive to the spirit world.

And I am a little scared of the dark because of my encounters. lol.

And all right, second story is dorm story.

I was living in a dorm, where many many years previous there had apparently been a suicide. I didn't find that out until well after shit started going down. I had my own room, and I started having nightmares of a man being hung, and I'd wake up and have just these flashes of an image of a man hangng from my ceiling, not connected to anything, but like an invisible noose. Right over my bed. Like his feet where about 4 inches from my stomach. After a few weeks of this it was about 15 seconds before he'd dissapear, at the point where he'd show himself the longest. He was also a bit of a poltergeist and would move my stuff all the time, but when he'd get mad like if I left school and stayed at a friends house, or in a friends dorm room instead of coming back to my own room every night, he'd be pissed... so he'd show me it, and would flicker my Christmas lights that I had around my window, and he'd do stuff just to freak me out like picking up a paper from my desk and slowly lowering it to the ground, one after another until my stack of paper was in backwards order. I told the maintenance and housing people where I was going to school what was going on, but they pretty much just ignored me. Then one day I left my key on my bed just to run and chat with a friend who had just come back from a funeral.. and I turned to go back to my room after we were talking, and my door was closed.

Not only was my door closed, but it was bolted shut. And the only way to use that particular deadbolt was from inside. I got maintenance.. they opened my door..a nd there was no one that could be seen in my room, and the windows were all closed, and I was up 3 floors anyway. No trees for anyone to climb or anything.

After THAT happened, I was allowed to move into a room that someone had vacated in the dorm.

It was much freakiness.

Oh so this is the repetitive ghost?
You were brave to be in that room after the first time, I swear! Eeek! That gave me goosebumps to read.

I am so glad they let you move!

Yep, this is the one where I had repeated encounters.

And I know, right!? I took to sleeping out in the quad at one point during this debacle because I couldnt get any sleep in my room, I was too scared. lol. I almost got EXPELLED because I couldn't sleep and one of my friends gave me a sleeping pill, and I figured it was an otc sleeping pill but she actually gave me a super strong sleeping pill that was prescription only, and we both got in serious trouble for drug distribution and stuff. lol.

When they realized there was no way I could have locked my own key in the room, and there were no maintenance people who had been on the floor who had those keys, they realized things were not very normal. lol.

The weird thing is that the girl who got that room the next year didn't have any issues at all. I don't know why.

hmm... maybe she just wasn't sensitive? And you are? I mean, not everyone sees every ghost.

Like when my son was playing with ghosts in our house, daily, and my husband was hearing them - I never saw them nor heard them, although I felt from the first time that I entered the house that it was warm and welcoming.

That's totally what it is. Certain people must be sensitive to certain kinds of spirits.

And man, that's cool that they were so warm and pleasant. :)
