One of the oldest accounts of ghosts is in the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which shows dead people reappearing much as they did before death, including the style of dress.
I'm going to regret this... but have you ever has a visit from a ghost? I've had two, with the second recurring too often to count.
And this is awesome. You click and they give a DOLLAR per click for battered women! If you all clicked we would have over 800 dollars donated in one day, PLUS whatever your friends click if you pass it on.
And your video. :) Very obvious lipsynching. Cracked me up.
i never read any of the books. i didn't even know about them!
Me either. lol. Glad I'm not the only one out of the loop. ;)
Hahaha you didn't really miss too much, they were of the babysitter's club ilk. Four best friends, and their zany adventures that never actually happened to you in junior high. The pretty blonde, the quirky and probably less attractive redhead, the shy native american friend (who had a book about a modeling stint she had) and the crazy punk friend. And of course, on the cover illustrations, they never looked like they were in junior high.
(the only picture I could find was from some crazy art project this girl did. Anyway. There they are!)
LOL I am going to keep my eyes open for these next time Im at a thrift store! That's awesome/horrifying. LOL.
Do you remember the big Babysitters Club books, when it was like abotu all of them? When they performed Peter Pan, and when they went on the Disney Cruise and to Disneyland? :)
YES! And the NYC one, the California one when Mallory dyed her hair blonde. What is it with these young adult authors who think being a redhead is unattractive? f them. lol... oh my lord i was friggin' obsessed with those books.
Dude! I forgot the California one!!! Oh that's just crazy. I gotta re-read them. On that note.. did you read the Sweet Valley High's? Do you remember when Jessica and Elizabeth got Harlequin Dolls for Christmas and went to a magic land?
Or the history ones? The one where you met like Jessamyn the horse rider who ran away to the circus and the twins who were around during prohibition.. and the French girl who fought the nazi's.. and finally to their Mom meeting their Dad?
First, before I forget, in case the email didnt work, here's that song i was gonna upload for you:http://www.sendspace.com/file/z07l2x
secondly... OH MY GOD THE SWEET VALLEY HIGH SAGA. The 1920s Amanda/Samantha thread was my FAVORITE. I used to read it aloud and play both twins LOL
I was so disappointed when the SVH TV show came on because I was supposed to play Lila, but apparently they didn't get that memo.
Yay, thank you!!! In the middle of a movie that I'm not watching, but everyone else in the room is.. so I can't listen yet without relocating to another room and I'm lazy. ;) So I will listen very soon. Thanks hon! I'm really pumped to hear it! :)
And LOL! Amanda and Samantha!!! Damn, I remember there being a lot of dialogue in that storyline, I bet it was a blast! I have to see if I still have the book somewhere. I distinctly remember giving away all of my old young adult books but refusing to give that one up. lol
And lol, right?! Lila was such a bitch but I liked her anyway. She'd be the one that's the most fun to play. In the Sweet Valley University book didn't she get knocked up? If so, I'm Lila, but poor. LOL
That series was very dissapointing.
I would get ENRAGED every time Samantha betrayed Amanda/Ted. Like, throw the book angry. Even as I salivated over the idea of portraying both of them in the made for tv movie hahahahahaha!!
I remember thinking how boring the parts were when there were no twins. Except the WWII one, because WWII is always interesting. LOL
LOL, right? :) I looooved that storyline and I loved the WW2 storyline too because that's my favorite time in history to read about, event hough it's one of the most awful.
