[music |Building a new day shining in the sun...]

In The Princess Bride, while being filmed wockshen Count Rugen hits Westly over the head, Elwes told Guest to go ahead and hit him for real. Guest hit him hard enough to shut down production for a day while Elwes went to the hospital.

Oh, poor wounded Wesley. Evil man with 6 fingers...who used to be in Spinal Tap.
God, Cary Elwes is such a gorgeous man. It should be illegal for anyone to look that good.

What I wouldn't have done to be a candy-striper at that hospital, tending to dear wounded Cary. Maybe I could even get him to say, "As you wish," for me. *swoons*

I remember that scene... did they use the take of him getting hit for real (and went to the hospital)? Or did they use another take?

How can you build a day? And why would it be shining in the sun? Wouldn't it be the sun that shines?

deja vu

I've been arguing with an old high school buddy about that movie :) He's refusing to watch it just because of the name! He says it's gay. ::shocked:: I told him I was going to chain him to a chair and force him to watch it. Any volunteers to help? :)
Honestly, how many of you ladies get all fluttery inside when a guy can quote that movie to you?!
Andy, when we were just talking on the phone and not dating yet, got busted because of that movie :) We were talking about I don't know what and he said "As you wish." I grinned from ear to ear and laughed happily :) He knew he was busted. You could hear it in his voice when I mentioned I loved that movie :)

Re: deja vu

Oh, it's the bestest. Lots of good fluttery feelings.. and it's always been my experience that men who are afraid of watching or doing something because it might be or seem "gay" are uncomfortable in their own sexuality and aren't worth your time or energy.. Or in my experience, my friendship. I detest homophobes.
