Beautiful & Hardcore. [Mar. 9th, 2008|01:18 pm]

She Without Arm, He Without Leg ballet. It's really beautiful. If you haven't had a chance to see it, I really recommend it.

And another amazing story:

On March 5, 2000, Inés Ramírez performed a caesarean section on herself and survived, as did her son, Orlando Ruiz Ramírez. She is believed to be the only woman to have performed a successful caesarean section on herself.

Thanks :) It's all on my blog if you ever feel you want to know about it, long time ago but it never quite goes away. It's not an easy story but it does have it's happy parts :)

As to her other children, it's difficult... you'd never want to leave them but there's an irrationality to it that makes sense at the time - if you were to lose another baby everyone loses you to grief and pain so the ramifications are of little consequence. Also there are others who can care for your living children but none who can replace the child you lost. None of it makes sense except when you're living it.

*nod* I was very fortunate after a very difficult pregnancy for both my son and I to come out alive, I can't imagine having lost my child. I am so sorry for your loss. I will definitely take a look at your story if you're open to it. All the best to you.
