wow. I suppose she is immortal and that is better than dead and forgotten
ps... that bust looks as though the person is alive. there is a smile, no slackness to the face at all....
hmmm .... i dunno
i think she threw herself in in a fit of madness. she was quite literally in-seine. get it? ay? ay?
thank you very much im here all week!
That icon you're using is preeeeeeeeeeetty.
Yay pretty ladies from back-in-the-day!
She does look really happy... Maybe she was dying, and killed herself to get it over with on her own terms. I reckon you'd be kind of happy with that? I think i would.
Also, when i took CPR, we had a boy doll. He was just a torso. I forget his name. I didn't like him.
I don't know about the calm expression. I think it's strange, because regardless if she had decided to kill herself.. when one drowns they're gasping for air.. I wonder if she had been killed prior to that and thrown in the Seine. I don't know. I find it all fascinating though.
man, looking at the wiki pic and then at the actual cpr doll kinda creeped me out!!!
LOL on the vid, man, I'm gonna show that to my friend when he comes over! :p He gave Walmart the traditional Japanese tri-folded resignation letter when he quit. :p
It's definitely a little creepy. - And rock on, that's awesome!
Oh that was rad! XD I loved the wry humor describing all of the bows. I'm taking Japanese and I have a Japanese roomie - she actually showed us the down on all fours bow once when she was telling a story about apologizing to her dad for something. That culture is so crazy-awesome. :)
You're welcome, darlin'! I'm glad you enjoyed. ;) And that's awesome. It's a very interesting culture.
Thanks so much for posting that! I've always wanted to see more in the japanese tradition series.
At first I didn't want to look at her picture because I thought it would creep me out (I once saw a dead girl as a kid and have been forever creeped out) but she looks so peaceful and beautiful, not at all what you'd think... the story is kind of creepy though. I wonder why they would use her face as the CPR doll...
Yeah, I think it's really fascinating too. I creeped myself out for a moment by looking at her, bu then decided "Nah. She's much to calm and content for me to be freaked."
-- You saw a dead girl? EEp! Don't share if you don't want too, but now I'm curious.
Resusci Anne's model? I have wondered who was her face, if anyone... I've kissed her many a time!
well that just makes CPR training borderline necrophelia doesn't it?
LOL, I know. I've got that one marked for the future. :) It's good stuff, I thought I'd start with the apology one.
Weird to think that she'd probably never have been noticed if she hadn't jumped in the river.
And Man Ray kicked ass.
Isn't it? I do wish I knew what happened to her, all the same.
I totally stole your link to apologies for my own journal!
Rock on. ;) They're here to share!
I've heard drowning doesn't hurt, but I don't believe it.
Knowing none of the facts, I have decided that she was walking along the river in a day dream and fell in the water. She couldn't swim, so she drowned.
Makes sense. Still desn't explain her calm expression though. -- I guess if I had to die I'd rather freeze to death then drown.
