A smoking ad from the 1950's for chesterfield cigarettes. Wow!

And what is your favorite color?

Mine's green. :)

I tend to like colors in pairs - lavender and sky blue, black and hot pink, etc. Just now, I'm really drawn to dark green and dark blue, or sage green and brown.

I enjoy colors in pairs too. Very aesthetically pleasing. :) I like burgundy and sage green too.

Those old ads crack me up. What kills me is how some people in the comments actually think the guys in the commercials are real doctors or scientists. Heh!

My current favorite color is purple. I don't wear it a lot, but I like it. :)

Everybody buys me green things because I'm very outspoken about that being my favorite color. As a kid with brown eyes, I prayed for green eyes, and they went hazel. A nice compromise.

Cobalt blue...
or the iridescent blue of a peacock's neck... which I love with the greens of their body and tail...
or maybe the reflective blues of an Indigo Bunting?

I smoked for years. Quitting was one of the hardest things that I managed to do.

Beeeautiful colors all.

And totally. I know I need to quit, I'm going to wait until I have health insurance again though.

Blue. The kind of silvery pale blue that's almost mauve but isn't quite. I saw it once in an old ladybird book about Cindrella where she went to the Prince's ball three times (he held three balls, not that she went and changed into three different dresses on the one night)- each time in a more beautiful dress. The second time she wore the silver blue which I thought was a million times more beautiful than the third time where she wore the gold and the glass slipper which she lost etc. He tried to find her identity each time and only after the third ball when she lost her slipper was he able to scour the countryside looking for the girl who fitted it.

I don't remember what colour her first dress was. White, perhaps?

green to look upon
red to wear

Thanks for smoking. But that ad was just so contrived. It did lead to some other interesting smoking videos and commercials tho.

I love the old ads, and see everyone always complains about my smoking. By the way i tend to like dark colors, my room's painted grey, and the curtains are a dark blue, although I wanted them in a dark red, no luck though

Blue. Almost any shade, but especially royal blue and turquoise. I like putting different blues together, and purples, and silver . . .

I am vain, and I love the way my eyes look in deep blues and purples. Recently I have discovered that deep brown with light blue trim works very well, too.
