Science experiment time! :) Make your water freeze!

According to studies at both The University of Iowa School of Medicine and Vanderbilt University, there is no evidence that sugar causes hyperactivity in children.

Yeah, my ass.

Sugar definitely causes hyperactivity. Its also bad for your teeth. Mummies from ancient Egypt often have great teeth because sugar wasn't added to everything back then. Though sugar isn't the only thing that causes hyperactivity. The main cause for hyperactive children is allergies. When you have an allergy you get a tiny burst of adrenalin. As adults we don't notice it. However, in children it has a huge effect. When I was a kid my parents were told I had ADHD. But even as a kid I had the longest attention span of anyone I knew! So it was obviously a mis-diagnosis. I had food allergies. People are misdiagnosed with ADHD all the time.

Most people don't know about food allergies. Another interesting fact is how they treat hyperactivity in children. They give them stimulants. Hyperactivity is caused by the body working faster then the brain. Stimulants always calm children down. For people who actually have a hyperactivity problem, this works as adults. But most people don't. Alot of people are way to willing to drug their children. Medicating children can cause problems for them as adults. It should only be done when its really necessary. If a kid is bouncing off the walls, there parents should take them to the park and make them run laps at top speed. If they are still super hyper after an hour then the kid probably has a disorder. If not, the kid is normal.

Exactly. I agree entirely. I hate when people medicate their children when it isn't necessary. :(
