I don't know if I ever became truly hyper from sugar consumption when I was younger, or if it was merely the suggestion of hyperness as a result of sugar consumption that provided a placebo effect, or simply acted as a subconscious justification for hyperness... because when you're little, pretty much everything's more fun when you're hyper.

I DO know for a fact, though, that eating sugary foods wakes me up when I'm really, really sleepy. Like sleep-deprived sleepy. It's saved my butt in more than a few classes, haha.

Caffeine just makes me uncomfortably jittery. ):

I really think caffeine and sugar basially have the same effect. Especially in youngin's!
