LOL. Kevin Smith protesting his film, Dogma. Rock on.

And:

After Andrew Jackson's inaugural adress there was an open reception at the White House. Crowds used windows as doors, stood on furniture to get a glimpse of the president, and broke thousands of dollars worth of glasses and china.

Well, that's just not very polite, is it?

ETA!!!!! We've been freaking sold!? Seriously??? To Mother Russia? I'm soooo confused. Maybe when I wake up everything'll be a little more clear.

Settle down Ms Random. I guess the Russians need to do something with their time over the long, cold winters. I'm quite surprised that it wasn't bought by the Asian market. I would have thought they'd take 2nd blogging title for sure! I'm sure that very little will change. Frank may need a warm woolie for winter, is all. And perhaps one of those stylish caps with the earflaps. And skates. Yes... I can see it now. Might you find a skating goat picture for us to macro? Oh, please...

Yep. Specifically a company in Russia that's looking for employees.. from Russia. I'm not sure but if my search of their journal means anything it's all being relocated to Russia.

Our journals are going to be sold into prositutiion.

Especially the young pretty girly ones.

Strange. When they partnered with 6A, they proclaimed it all across the front page. This one was very quiet....I didn't know about it until you mentioned it.

Hooray! Now our blogs are owned by the Russian Mafia....

I don't know. Do you think the Russians will do a better job than Six Apart? The latter hasn't been too popular lately, with some of the decisions they've been making...

I'm not sure, honestly. I don't like that it doesn't appear they're going to have a faction for employees anywhere but Russia. I think that a company that has such a wide user base should have an office in every country that they have over a certain number of users in. Maybe that's sily of me, but it seems like they'd be able to safely control any local situation.. I don't know. I'm nervous.

Haha, Kevin Smith protesting his own film. When I first saw Dogma, I didn't really enjoy it. But, that was 10 years ago, so maybe I should see it again.

And, yeah, I don't understand why we were sold to Russia, either. Get ready for more censorship, I guess! Maybe that's why they started the "adult content" feature.

It's a good flick ;)

-- And I don't know. If you want to see porn, it's mainly on the Russian journals in my searching experience.

LOL! Oh lrod that sounds bad. I wasn't searching for porn...

I meant in searching for journals to comment on.

I'm kind of scared about the new ownership for the same reason the flagging thing is bothering me. Ugh. Hopefully, nothing really changes and we go on as we've been going on. Or dammit, I want my $150 back!

Also, I've been inside the White House. I got to go on a tour and it was awesome and interesting, but I didn't see Socks and that made me kind of sad. I think the tour was something special for families of the military or maybe not, but regardless, I know that my Dad was in his uniform. Also, a random woman once came up to me and said I looked like Chelsea Clinton and that's weird. Well, she actually said, "Hi Chelsea!" and I looked at her all confused and then she said I looked like her.

yeah, yeah. let me second any proclamations of Jackson's bad-assness. I'm pretty sure the crazy reception was on purpose and it was to reinforce Jackson's connection with the commoners. Plus, in duels, Jackson waited for the other combatant to shoot at him because a quick shot is usually errant. Then he took his time and shot the other guy. I think he got shot once or twice doing this.

Me too concerned about the Russian takeover. I'm considering copy-pasting all my entries into Word, just to be sure I have them and they don't get messed up. Is there a more efficient way to do that? (By the by, thanks for the heads up)

He was seriously hardcore.

And you know, I believe that there are actually programs that do it for you, but I'll be damned if I know where to find them. *frown* There's gotta be an LJ help community that can recommend something.

Sorry I'm not more help, babe.
