I'd never heard the raven story before. thanks for sharing!! :)
You're welcome! I was finding all of these cool myths and one of your fellow randomposters sent me that one. ;)
I'd heard a differnt myth about how light was brought, in this case brought back to the world, only it was a rainbow crow, which sacraficed it's beautiful colors, and wonderful voice to bring fire back in it's beak to keep the rest of the animals alive. The result was that the crow no longer had beautiful colorfull feathers, but burnt black wings, and a craggy voice changed from the smoke of the fire it carried. It was said that's the reawon we still have fire, and why crows are te way they are.
Interesting! I like that too!!
Thanks for the comment, it made my day! =)
Oh that was excellent. Thank you for the amusing link.
I need my Scrubs, House, and Heroes, so plz pay writers? KTHXBAI. ;)
Riiight? I wonder how much longer it'll go on for. It's got the potential to be very very bad.
Thanks for the random comment..hehe
You're welcome! Thanks for the add. :)
I've heard that Native American story before, but I thought it had a name like it was published in book form, but that could have just been some random person publishing it for kids. Hmm. I like the story though :)
I don't know! This one wasn't from the book i've been taking myths from, Someone here typed it up for me. :)
What a sweet bird! I want one even more than i used to! (i was telling my dad this morning how badly i wanted a raven... I'd name him Oden.)
I think the management arguement that one cannot put a dollar amount on future revenues from new technology is vacuous. If you offer the writers a percentage of the profits on new distribution of product that's ALREADY BEEN PAID FOR AND PRODUCED, they'll get nothing if the companies make no new money, and they'll get more if the new media makes money. But I assume that I am being naive and finding way to obvious a solution...
I think if they create a set percentage everything will be good. Because if it doesn't do well, then they won't be paid above that percent, but same goes if they're successful.
Ah, that was great. If only they'd managed to get Jon Stewart to do it. But John Oliver's cameo was priceless.
Teddy Ruxpin scared the living crap out of me when I was younger and it still does now. I call it "the spawn of the devil". I actually have a friend who went to school with the girl whose dad invented that. *shudder*
Aww! *hugs* I'm sorry love! I just love the heck out of the little guy and my son even has one.
I will admit that I am sad that I won't be able to watch a new episode of The Office this week, but I think I'm willing to forgo it so that the originators of the ideas can get their due.
Don't give up Hollywood writers!
Exactly! All my love to them.
And all my ANGER to the stagehands union!
:) Yay for no more darkness!
P.S. I myspace friended you! My name's Paula on there, just in case you didn't make the connection :P
Rock on! I'll get over there and add you once I catch up! :)
