In 1979, Namco released Pac-Man, the most popular arcade game of all time. Over 300,000 units were sold worldwide. More than 100,000 units are sold in the United States alone. Originally named Puck Man, the game was retitled after executives saw the potential for vandals to scratch out part of the letter P on the game's marquee, which might discourage parents from letting their children play. Pac-Man became the first video game to be popular with both males and females.
Some meerkats. :) I lurve them.
hahaha Puck Man! That is awesome.

" > Talk to Ghost
"Hey Dad," you say cheerily. "What's up?"
"Hamlet," says the old man after a sigh, "you remember how I was found mysteriously dead in the orchard a couple of weeks back? Well... it's like this. Your uncle Claudius poisoned me so he could become king and marry your mother. I'd be awfully grateful if you could kill him for me."
"All right," you say, "I'll do it!"
Your life suddenly seems to have purpose. " LOL Wow! That's awesome. Thanks babe! You rock!!
Isn't Puckman the shit?

Cute meerkats! The comments are kind of funny, too. "OMGZ! They do vicious things like other animals...cause they're animals, too. OH NOEZ! MY LIFE IS OVERZ." Ha ha ha!
And, Puck Man? Good thinking to change it.
that's funny you are posting that today, as i watched an epsidode of "30 Rock" where Jane Krakowski is offered the role of Mrs. Pacman in a life action movie of it. LOL
Meerkats are surprisingly tasty. Especially the babies.
Sorry...its just that years of playing video games like Puck-Man have desensitizied me to sensless meerkat tragedy. The good news is the doctors say I'm the only one.
:( Meeeean!! You haven't really tried meerkat meat have you?
No...I was totally kidding about eating meerkats.
I assumed so, but I'm sick right now so everything kind of clouds together. lol.
That's SO awesome!!! I'm terrible. I always lose. I'm made of so much fail. ;)
Yeah, video games have pretty interesting history behind them!
Ms. Pac-Man is equally fascinating- it was a reverse-engineered hack of Pac-Man, made by a couple of guys who worked for General Computer Corporation. The original version was called "Crazy Otto", though no Crazy Otto boards are known to still exist. The legal rights were eventually claimed by Namco.
There were also speed hack chips
installed in a lot of the Ms. Pac-Man games, which is really the only way to play. Once you get used to the speed boost, you can't GO BACK!
Oooh a link I don't have to copy and paste. hehe. You rule. :)
Hehe, I always sucked at pac-man.
