LOL. The scary sheep. One of my favorite things Evar.
And I'm not sure if THIS is true or not, but supposedly:
Blue eyed people are naturally more attracted to other blue-eyed people because they are instinctively trying to keep the blue eyed gene alive. ( Blue eyes are recessive, but brown eyes are dominant. )
- In my personal experience, this is false. I have green eyes, and have dated more then one person who has blue eyes.. but I don't know which is dominant between blue and green.
The results of the recent study were a bit more specific. The subjects, all of whom were white, were divided four ways: male, female, brown-eyed, blue-eyed. They were randomly shown headshots of other white people, of the opposite sex, and asked to grade those people on attractiveness. All the people in the photos had blue or brown eyes. Each photographed person appeared in two different photos: in one, he or she was shown with his or her natural eye color (blue or brown); in the other, the eye color had been changed to the other (brown or blue).
The results were as follows:
• Brown-eyed women: equally attracted to brown- and blue-eyed men.
• Brown-eyed men: equally attracted to brown- and blue-eyed women.
• Blue-eyed women: equally attracted to brown- and blue-eyed men.
• Blue-eyed men: more attracted to blue-eyed women.
They baby of a blue-eyed man paired with a blue-eyed woman is guaranteed to have blue eyes.
The theory is that the blue-eyed men who are more attracted to blue-eyed women than to brown-eyed women have been more successful at passing on their genes because this is a way of being more certain that the kids whom they (the blue-eyed men) are helping to raise are really from their own sperm.
As to green: I used to be told that green eyes were rarer than brown, blue, or hazel. But I have since read that green is actually commoner than blue.
I'm a blue-eyed guy. I've never chosen my girlfriends on the basis of looks (that may sound snooty, but it's true). But, when I was a child, my four girlfriends, all of whom were varying degrees of blonde, had blue (?), blue, blue, and blue eyes. Starting in my teens and going into my late twenties, it's been brown hair with green eyes, brown hair with brown eyes, naturally multicolored blondish hair with blue eyes, reddish brown hair with green eyes, and black hair with black eyes.
Thanks muchly! You always find the best information. I appreciate it.
