LOL. The scary sheep. One of my favorite things Evar.

And I'm not sure if THIS is true or not, but supposedly:

Blue eyed people are naturally more attracted to other blue-eyed people because they are instinctively trying to keep the blue eyed gene alive. ( Blue eyes are recessive, but brown eyes are dominant. )

- In my personal experience, this is false. I have green eyes, and have dated more then one person who has blue eyes.. but I don't know which is dominant between blue and green.

I have blue-green eyes and both of my husband's had brown eyes. Not that I haven't had my head turned by a blue-eyed beauty once or twice. :)

And I wonder just how recessive it is, too. One of my son's eyes are green, the other's are very, very blue. And their father, of course, had brown eyes.

I think green is supposed to be dominant over blue, I do know blue is more common.

What about someone with brown eyes and someone with green eyes. How is it possible to get a kid with blue eyes? It's happened! ;) I just don't understand the science behind it. Help?

Interesting!!! His Mom has blue eyes and so does his grandpa, and my Dad has green eyes and my Mom had blue/green eyes so that totally makes sense!

Actually, green eyes are dominant over blue eyes, but brown is domninant over both. But it is complicated how we end up with they eye color we have and is not as simple as what the mom/dad have, but which genes they are carrying (you have more than one set). I've been researching genetics for a long time and came along this blog, I just wanted to correct this (green eyes are dominant over blue!).

brown is dominant over green and blue, and green is dominant over blue. so blue is the recessive gene not green.
