Just yesterday I was thinking of that sad time when Mulder was gone and Scully had to work with not as cool people...sad days.
The death of the firefly series. Hands down.
I saw that icon and thought, "Hey! Did I already reply to this soemhow?!" Heehee. :)
I still mourn Firefly too..but at least Serenity gave it a decent ending. Have you read the comic that bridges the two?
What's the last film/television thing that happened that really upset you?
Strangely enough, it was that damn Dark is Rising movie. My favourite childhood book series, and they kiiilling iiiiit. Seriously...the plot is built around Arthurian mythology - but they've decided to leave out any connection to King Arthur because they thought it made the story work better. How?! That is the story!!
hahahah!!! i just commented the same thing! i'm so disappointed. :(
Everytime I think about Fox crushing the Arrested Development deal I get sad. That was the smartest show I've ever seen.

Same here. I so loved that show. Fox! /shakes tiny fists of DOOM/
That they're making an americanized film version of The Dark is Rising with Ian McShane. LOL
I found it even more disappointing that the trailer looked catchy even though they have desecrated the book into a piece of commercial crap that has nothing to do with the series LOL. Damn hollywood!!!!
I don't know the books, but I agree.. the trailer rocked. I'm kind of excited, even though people whose opinions I respect very much are devastated.
I'm a bad random. I need to read the books.

Re: I ordered some onion rings for the table.
Yeah, I guess at least Deadwood didn't end in a black out..
::tears hair, rends garments::
*sniffle* I know.
*offers some whiskey*
- Drive...I miss drive. Four freaking episodes...god damnit.
- Firefly. Poor Nathan Fillion...
- Arrested Development. Of course.
- And well...the ending of Quantum Leap made me cry like a little girl....DAMN YOU BELLESARIO!!! Why couldn't you let him go home?!
"Dr. Sam Beckett never made it home"
I still cry. But at least Al and Beth found eachother...
It would have to be the ninja attack in The Last Samurai. They sneak in all cool-like, and I go "Okay, maybe for once they'll be treated with dignity."
NO. Their assassination fails (but then, when has a plan like that EVER worked in a movie?), so an endless swarm of them just fuckin' charge the camp. They just throw themselves at the samurai, no tricks up their sleeves or any kind of smarts remotely resembling the reasons I'm such a big fan of their kind. I guess it's a small condolence that they take out a number of the samurai, instead of being all-encompassingly butchered as the inverse-ninja rule would dictate.
But then it gets worse. The head samurai's son attacks a ninja, and he knocks the kid to the floor. And the ninja actually chases after the kid and tries to finish him off! The man he was sent to kill is RIGHT fuckin' THERE, and he goes after some defenseless kid who's no longer a threat. I guarantee you, if he had lived to tell the tale he would have never found work in that town again.
Whenever ninja are sneaky or clever, they're always evil, and usually complete asses (See Batman Begins). Good guy ninja always flip around and kick everyone in the face. Or *shudder* wear white in places other than the snow.
Aww. I'm sorry that the Ninja's sucked in that movie. *hugs*
The first?!?!? The Kennedy Assassination, JFK, that is, that famous Dallas Motorcade, Jackie crawling over the seat for help. I was nine.
I meant fictional stuff. Sorry i wasn't more clear! Any tv show or movie that particularly upset you?
The ending of Six Feet Under.
You didn't like the ending, or it just made you cry?
I LOVED it. I sobbed though. Sooo hard.
THIS ONE. And, before that, having you break the news about Rome to me. I still kind of get teary-eyed when I think about all the good times and Eastern European slaves Lucius and Titus and I are missing out on.
When ROME ended just as Octavian gained power and was about to become Imperator Augustus. I mean, shit, the REAL cool stuff is just starting! DAMN YOU HBO!
I didn't like the kid that they got to play older Octavian. Not a fan at all. I much preferred Max.
But I agree. There totally could have been more seasons of Rome.
the ABC (TV station) stopped running two of my most fav shows...
Kimba the white Lion (children's show)ceased running when i had'nt reached double numbers, ie, i was'nt 10 yet and the big gig (Australian stand up comedy) ceased about 19 years ago, they were very sad days for me.
I was really excited for the show with Skeet Ulrich called Miracles. Somewhere around 2003 or so it came out. 5 episodes or something later it was cancelled completely! I had to download the final episodes and they left it so open!! Ughhhh!!!
Damn! :( I hate when they do that.
