[mood |annoyedannoyed]

There's records of Cleopatra dabbing perfrume between her toes. When she set out to meet Mark Anthony, history records, she even sprinkled perfume all over the sails of her barge.

What's your favorite perfume/cologne?

And that's some fun dancing thar. :)

LJ Won't let me save my full entry.. see if it works now. *irritated*

I would imagine back then huge amounts of perfume were probably a necessity, if you could get it. Personally I like a more subtle approach to fragrance. But then, I'm not the ruler of a long, incestuous line of Ptolamaic greek rulers pretending to be Pharohs and sleeping with anything in a centurian's uniform.

Interesting that you should bring up perfume - I'm reading Perfume: Story of a Murderer. The novel gets into the utter smelliness of the human race in pre-revolution France and how it disgusts the main character.

Personally, I like Demeter's Lychee cologne. I love all things lychee.

hahaha, my dad was rocking out to that. ^^

And I don't really have a favorite perfume. But my favorite sent, which is kinda like the same thing, is campfire smoke. If they market that I'd buy it.

I don't really use any, except adding essential or perfume oils to things. My favorite being jasmine oil. I adore that...

I have several friends addicted to BPAL fragrances. Several of my friends collect and exchange "imps" for $3.50 that are little vials that are apparently pretty generous samples of particular fragrances.
Some are definitely sublime.

Oshadi, Fleur Paradis is my favorite.
Its very earthy, smells like amber and sandlewood and bit of jasmine... I LOVE IT! And I always get compliments when I wear it out. But my boyfriend says it reminds him of the polish his mom used on her piano... so, he smells it and he thinks "giant piano".. bastard.

On men I like the same sort of smells, bay-rum, juniper, cardamom, licorice,... and patchouli, but only when its on a freshly showered/clean boy... patchouli on a dirty hippie reeks!!

Boyfriend likes it when I smell like food... so he picked out a chocolate perfume for me, and I bought a tropical fruit basket type from Bath and Body works that he LOVES... to me I just smell like fruit cocktail.

And I used to mix my own essential oil perfume,..
Lavender, Lime and Grapefruit... its sweet, citrus-y and fresh smelling with just a touch of floral undertone to keep the scent around...

I miss this smell... I should make some more...

I love Happy for Men. When sparingly used, it is a most enchanting scent for me. As for myself, I don't really use perfume. I do wash in locally made scented soaps. My current one is cinnamon clove. Mmm. Keeps the funk down, too, for my long nights in class! ;P

My favorite scent is patchouli, satre, strawberry, vanilla oils. I put it on different pulse spots. Mixed together it smells great. Its also strong but not over powering. You can usually tell I was just in a room
