Viggo Mortenson speaks fluent English, Spanish, Danish, and French, but he also speaks Swedish and Norwegian reasonably well.

What about you? I speak English reasonably well, and can remember some key phrases and accent of French. lol.

And, you first posters of last month!

In first place ( for like the 4th time or something, not consecutively, but still impressive!) pixxiyestyx with 5 first comments in July!

And in second place, tied, or two others that have also received this recognition in the past. ;) Well done to electrosoundwav and frontdoorangel just a hair/hare behind with 4 posts each.

Nicely done! :)

hehe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VYsrkaGmpw&eurl=

Can anyone make that last part into an icon for me? Please? The slap et punch.

I'll give ya a cookie. And credit you in my icons. hehe

I used to speak Quenya okay...or mostly knew quite a few useful phrases. It's one of Tolkien's elvish languages. My boyfriend and I used to write notes when we were 15 in a weird combination of elvish/french/english ... it was fun :D. I know some indonesian, quite a bit of french and a few words in other languages. I'd love to learn another language fluently though, but it's so hard!

If you're after interesting language facts, try seeing what Wikipedia says about second language aquisition ... there's like a timer in your brain that expires at a certain age which makes learning language a lot harder. If you're not exposed to a language at all by about 16, you'll never be able to speak properly. Anyway, that's what I've been doing in class so hooray for random tangents!
