Language Firsts & Punches [Aug. 3rd, 2007|12:22 pm]
[mood |busybusy]
[music |A Window To The Past - John Williams]

Viggo Mortenson speaks fluent English, Spanish, Danish, and French, but he also speaks Swedish and Norwegian reasonably well.

What about you? I speak English reasonably well, and can remember some key phrases and accent of French. lol.

And, you first posters of last month!

In first place ( for like the 4th time or something, not consecutively, but still impressive!) pixxiyestyx with 5 first comments in July!

And in second place, tied, or two others that have also received this recognition in the past. ;) Well done to electrosoundwav and frontdoorangel just a hair/hare behind with 4 posts each.

Nicely done! :)

hehe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VYsrkaGmpw&eurl=

Can anyone make that last part into an icon for me? Please? The slap et punch.

I'll give ya a cookie. And credit you in my icons. hehe

In Fijian? That's random! Awesome!

I bet you remember the basics from Spanish. Hello.. goodbye, etc. hehe. Even I know those. ;)

Ooh! That's from a movie?? What movie?

I think it's awesome. LOL. When I'm annoyed, or posting about violence or something, it'd be perfect.

Sorry, I was unclear. I meant I love guys slapping movie.

Umm...yeah, I can also say "smack" like "I'll smack you" and "be quiet" (or shut up?) in Gilbertese (sp?). Again, useful. I lived with a lot of different people when I lived in Sydney! lol.

Now I just need to stick to a language long enough to learn all of it.

If you get anyone replying and they are single, live close to or in Utah and speak Chinese hook me up (o:

Ah, to add to your language skills, here are the Chinese lines I know:

"Xiang he wo qu san san bu ma?" Would you like to go for a walk with me?
"Ni hen xi yin ren" You're attractive
"Ni hen shuai" You're cute
"Wo Piouliang ma?" Do you think I'm cute?
"Qin qin wo!" Kiss me (like makeout with. Just qin wo would mean a little kiss, but who needs those?)
"Wei shi ma bu?" Why not?

And some Korean (I'm way dodgy in Korean so these could be totally wrong):
"Sarang hae" I love you
"Na quip-chyo" I'm cute, huh? (more a statement than a question)
"Narang jumsheen mogurkka" Do you want to have dinner with me?

I haven't written my new Japanese phrases down yet, but they're on my Facebook when I can get that to open.

Go, flirt proudly, lol.
