[music |A Window To The Past - John Williams]

Viggo Mortenson speaks fluent English, Spanish, Danish, and French, but he also speaks Swedish and Norwegian reasonably well.

What about you? I speak English reasonably well, and can remember some key phrases and accent of French. lol.

And, you first posters of last month!

In first place ( for like the 4th time or something, not consecutively, but still impressive!) pixxiyestyx with 5 first comments in July!

And in second place, tied, or two others that have also received this recognition in the past. ;) Well done to electrosoundwav and frontdoorangel just a hair/hare behind with 4 posts each.

Nicely done! :)

hehe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VYsrkaGmpw&eurl=

Can anyone make that last part into an icon for me? Please? The slap et punch.

I'll give ya a cookie. And credit you in my icons. hehe

I took Latin I-V in high school. I still remember all the grammar rules, but my vocab skills are horrific. I can't do any true, literal translation without a dictionary

Wow! Latin, though. That's so cool. That's the base of sooo many languages.

salve!

Seriously! I LOVE Latin. It's the base of all romantic (as in "roman") languages: I can read spanish and italian and get the gist of what it says. I think all 8th graders should take Latin before another language, it helps so much.

I obviously speak English and I understand spanish. Like if the person speaks slow enough (not like SLOW, but for example, Cubans talk A LOT faster than Mexicans), I can understand/translate almost perfectly. I could watch the news in spanish, etc. but I have to pay close attention. The thing is, I forget words to speak it back, I suck at verb conjugation and more importantly, I feel weird, cuz of my accent, etc. so I DON'T speak spanish. I know a FEW SENTENCES of Japanese and could prolly like COUNT in French. LoL

Ya I was so inspired that I bought a sign language dictionary and memorized it. I used to watch tv and translate what they were saying to practice.

Lmao ya they did. I think thats awesome lol.
