that isn't from the 7 up series is it? or i can't remember what else to call it's a book with a girl dective and all her series has a number for example hard 9 and such i'ts pretty good that reminds me of that

Ah, here's a couple.

He was like a lame duck, but not the metaphorical lame duck, but rather a real lame duck, one that became lame stepping on a landmine.

His face was shaped like a perfect sphere, but with two of the sides slightly compressed.

Her cackled sounded oh-so-similar to a cat being strangled by a rabid monkey in a barrel.
