There once was an old man who was loved by everyone in the town where
he lived. When he died, they buried him at a scenic location along a
river. A few days later there was a great rain storm and the river
flood coffin was carried along the river in to the town. The casket
flowed down the street past the supermarket and the school all the
way into the pharmacy. It slid right in to the pharmacy and onto the
counter. The lid popped open and the old man sat straight up and
asked the pharmacist - "Do you have anything to stop this coffin? "
(And on a not so fun note... I just went through FOUR links of Youtube's I had saved that were removed for violation of terms of service or what not. Dangit. :( I'm changing my opinion on the Youtube Acquisition. Boo.)
Speaking of unfriendly acquisitions...
That's Hitler... rapping. It's funny/disturbing/bizarre... Quite strange. Interested in your opinions. -- Probably nsfw.. cause it's arguably the most evil man of the past century. Though it is Halloween... I dunno. just wanting to be careful. ;)
Check your candy. Check your kids candy.
Don't go into strangers houses unless it's guaranteed amazing action... ;)
You know the drill.
Eh, it was not overnight that he went from normal-guy-vote-for-me to insanacrazy-dictator. It was gradual, and the ideas and values he put out were always only one little step more, and people have a hard time recognizing when things like that cross the line between normal and not normal. We studied Hitler in psych too, and I always found that the "Hitler went all crazy because of art" reasoning was ill concieved and made little sence. Too simplistic for starters, and there were many many other signs and reasons behind what he did. Hilter was a very smart man...not humane, no sence of value for human life, but very smart, driven and his rise to power and the things he did were more than just the chance creation of an insane pissed off artist. I mean, he never even cut off his ear! ha ha, just kidding on that last part :) Anyhow, just my two pennies...
well, this may be true, but the previous argument doesn't make any sense even with this peice of info. there might have been a lot that went into his histeria, but we can't blame those things, it was HIS choice, he did it himself... no one ordered him to take a dive off the deep end. the example about milgrim and the experiments were about how normal people respond to authority, someone told them to do this, to be this way, to shock those people.
Smart, and Driven and Powerful, certainly.
But there was definitely insanity intermingled with those.
And a deep darkness.
