The Boston area was plagued in 1992 with several incidents of children receiving Barbie dolls for Christmas and opening the gifts to find pornographic photos in the boxes with the dolls. The photos featured both men and women in various sexual positions and inscriptiions on the back of each describing Barbie engaged in such activity.
