Decomposing Jackson [Jul. 17th, 2006|02:37 am]

Oh yeah. You know you've been wanting to learn. Don't lie.

Undertakers report that human bodies do not deteriorate as quickly as they used to. The reason for this, they believe, is that the modern diet contains so many perservatives that these chemicals tend to prevent the body from decomposing rapidly after death.

I don't know, what about that Bodyworks exhibit that was in Houston? You don't want to be travelling the worl din a carnival like "look at my dead body!" thing, do you?

And I'm really big on funeral sand burials being a sacred thing, so we're not gonna gree on that one... ;) But it still helpsthe soil..

I can understand when it has meaning for someone to be buried and that's really nice. I was just never taught that I s'pose.

Science can do with my body what they would... but a traveling freak show carnival? I didn't think they would do that.

Oh well, hopefully I'll have a lot more time to think about what to do with my body.

I've been to Body Worlds too, it's seriously freaky! Some of the positions they put people's parts in is so bizarre.. there's one display were every part of the body is hung on wires so the body looks expanded. We named it Optimus Prime.

That sounds really really really awful.

But perhaps educational and um... somewhat interesting?
