[music |My computer making some buzzing noise. Hmm.]

Ticks are not insects. Insects have six legs and three body parts. Ticks, on the other hand, have eight legs and two body parts, which classifies them as arachnids.

I never had to worry about ticks until last summer when i went to Pennsylvania, they're virtually unhead of here (like fireflies, first time I saw them also)

Pennsilvania has an amazing amount of fireflies for some reason. . .I rember being amazed by that when i went there.
I never heard much about ticks tho, but we weren't really near any woodsy areas so mabey thats why.

Hurrah for living in Australia. We have box jellyfish, sharks, (other) spiders, all kinds of shit but I don't think I've ever seen a real life tick.

You know in cartoons tribal people wear those wooden masks? I love the bugs that looks like they have mini versions of those on their backs (the back and wings look like a little stripe-and-dot painted mask and they scurry around on the floor really fast)

ticks=spiders?

or their underdeveloped third cousins?

Re: ticks=spiders?

Yeah. I don't know if they're under-developed, but I'd say they're definitely part of the same family. I'd say that the ticks are the ancient Aunts and Uncles that drink, smoke and eat bloody steak every day, and are over 100 years old... those ticks are like cockroaches.

ewww. Ticks are really gross. I live out in the country, quite in the middle of nowhere, and ticks abound. I got a boil on my back about a month from an infected tick bite. Yes, I know you wanted to know. Anyways, KILL ALL TICKS!!!

Ughhhh I hate ticks. We used to live in the Lyme Disease capital of the world (yay...) and my dad actually got it... most likely from a tick.

Everybody!! Do not remove a tick yourself! You could make it sort of throw up into your blood stream by irritating it! This is a job for a nurse or doctor!

It's information you needed. ;)

One day you'll be on a game show and you'll win, because of this info.
