“ You should drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water a day.” The bottled water industry loves this myth, but according to kidney specialist Dr. Heinz Valtin, there is no scientfic evidence to support the claim.

It's not just a kidney thing, it is important for all your cells to stay hydrated and blah blah blah. They reccomend anything from 1.5L to 5L of water a day depending on body size, weather conditions and physical activity. And depending how much coffee/ soft drink/ etc you consume also. However once you start drinking 6 litres plus, it starts to put some severe strain on the kidneys.

Drinking a decent amount of water also helps your body eliminate toxins and keeps your skin clear(er).

Yeesh, I sound like a health spa pamphlet. My family are health nuts (can you tell?). And I'm not *L* Mmm, chocolate and no exercise...
