who would have guessed? makes me wonder if my tiny birth mark on my ankle is a mark of god or the devil... >.>
Oi, imagine that. A momma nursing her babe. Aw.
You know, I never really thought about birthmarks before. I have one on my left temple, but its very tiny. Apart from superstition explanations, what actually causes them?
I really don't know! I just got this from this cool superstition encyclopedia that I got at a thrift store. I need to go to work right after I finish checking these emails, but I'll try and remember to google search it when I get home. In the meantime, anyone else up to looking into it? :)
I noticed googleismygood deleted their lj, at least temporarily... :( So... I don't think they'll be able to help, alas.
I wanna know what the 'limited circumstances' in which 'scientifically' licking works to remove the birthmark.
Wow, my cousin has a birthmark on her forehead in the shape of an "X" (I would assume this is kind of a double birthmark) and she actually does travel a lot and travels between California and Spain, living in both places.
You should send this info to your cousin, see wha† they make out of it.
wow...i found that really interesting because i have a red birthmark on my neck that's a little larger than a quarter, and not quite circular.
my parents thought about having it removed when i was about four years old, but i told them no, that it was a part of who i was and i wanted to keep it.
Exactly!! If a birthmark or defect doesn't effect your life (I had a friend whose daughter had eleven toes when she was born, and so she wouldn't have problems finding shoes, they had it removed in surgery) I totally understand keeping it. Makes sense to me. I have a few little bigger then freckle (but just slightly) birthmarks on my body, but most are hidden by clothing... so only a few hundred people have seen them.
( LOL. JK. ;) )
i have one on my right hip/thigh/butt area that looks like angel lips. :smiles:
i think it means that from the get-go, god was kissing my ass.
That's cool. :) Mine are very minute.
Oooh, cool. Any particular shape or design?
Interesting. Maybe something on the way out? Unless you were c-section?
LOL. Yeah. Not my fetish, really...
Interesting...I love all my birthmarks as well as the ones on my boys :)
I have a birthmark near my mouth on the upper lip....I have a speck on my nose, and two on the bottom of my lower lip. I wonder what that says about me? ["crazzzy, coo-coo....looney bin material"]
lol. I doubt it. It would be interesting if there was a birthmark dictionary, like a dream dictionary.
I have a birthmark on my bicep in the shape of a cross.
Clearly the work of the devil.
lol. Niiiiiice. :)
Any cool powers?

I don't have a birthmark, but have always wondered what it would feel like to have one.
I was going to say no one in my family has a birthmark. However, my older sister has one that started on her hip. I'm not sure where it is located now. /shrug/
*blink* Why would it have shifted?
I have one on my right hip. lol.
You know what that means!
