Happy 1st of May!!!

I am most impressed to say that I believe we have a tie for the most first posts ever... so congratulations to maudelynn, who ( I believe...? I can't remember if it was 6 or 7. Correct me if I'm wrong?) tied pixxiyestyx for the most first posts in a month at 6! Nicely done. *applauds you both *

In second place with two posts each we have a 2 way tie for letusnowpachang and realkatharine4u . Nicely done! :)

In 1999, Orange County (Calif.) Sheriff Michael Carona and his former chief assistant Donald Haidl deputized 86 untrained civilians, at least half of whom were their friends or family or political contributors, giving them badges and in some cases gun permits and limited arrest powers, according to a May 2005 Los Angeles Times report. Some of the 86 volunteers are still "on duty," and the sheriff did not begin to dismiss some "deputies" until a state law enforcement organization continued to complain that the deputies were not qualified for police work under state law. It's one of my favourites. ;)

And yeah. There's plenty who say there's no corruption, but we folk know better.
