*laughs* That just makes me think of afterward, when the bride throws the bouquet -- it's like saying to whoever catches it, "Hey, now you can smell good since I don't have to!"
Exactly! LOL. I love history. There was some more that I found that was pretty interesting, but I'll save that for another entry further down the line.
psh, why don't the boys have to carry flowers too then?
Because we have a longstanding history of misogyny.
hahahah thats awesome
i love random trivia!

At that time the chinese was taking daily baths every single day , if ya didn't ya was a begger or a hard mercanery, a thief or a traveling salesman or a farmer. Yes smell defines you back then. now that's how ya add to random trivia
That is hilarious. I love history. We can learn the origin of most of our traditions. Thanks for sharing, I thuroughly enjoyed it.

DEODORANT... because foul, pungent body odor is kind of inconsiderate.
What does it say about us today that most of the boquets in weddings are now artificial flowers? :)
Ooooh. A very good question indeed!!!
You put it very concisely. :)
Now that was a great random fact.
Wow it really makes you think about one other thing. Well a lot of Elizabeth I dresses are on display at various places, and they are behind glass. Well after this little fact you gave us we know why the dresses are behind glass. The smell would knock you over.
Most people back then didn't bathe as the water they had available was not to be trusted. Perfume oil's were very popular back then as most people wanted to smell good but didn't want to bathe. And then there is the fact that the really nice clothes were made from very heavy materials like, velvet, furs and the like. Also it's the reason all most everyone back than drank beer or wine. Water carried diseases. Anyway wanted to add my two cents!
Here's one for you: Mosquitoes have 47 teeth. Another friend of mine shared that with me.

can you imagine how greasy their hair must have been? UGH. how many pimples they probably had? UGH.
how dirty their ass was....
Seriously. The hair grosses me out the most on that. I haven't washed my hair in two days, and I feel so gross as soon as I sign off I'm jumping in the shower.
