Miss Manners Suggests Warning Words. [Mar. 24th, 2006|09:54 pm]

[mood |thirstythirsty]
[music |A really AWFUL movie. Motel Hell.]

"I beg your pardon."

This is the best all-purpose warning that the other person has transgressed. Different degrees of anger can be expressed by it.

"I beg your pardon?"

Asked with raised eyebrows means "You'd better explain that you did not mean what you actually said."

A loud "I beg your pardon!" means "Retreat this instant!"

Or so says Miss Manners... I can't believe I bought this book. LOL

I do too, I speak more with my eyebrows I feel then with my mouth sometimes. :)

People know they're in trouble when I bring out the eyebrow..

in trouble,or in luck, depending on the situation. ;)
