Remember, remember the fifth of November.
Gunpowder, Treason and Plot.
I see no reason why Gunpowder Treason
Should ever be forgot.

Bad Poem, By Lucy.....

*blush* sad thing is that i can remember it. i wrote this when i was like 11yrs old....

"Bonfire night
A special fright
Of men in dancing flames
And of scheming games

A story of a man named guy
A story that is no lie
The deadly plan
Of this devious man

Under the houses of Parliament
Lots of gunpowder was sent
He must have hated them all
Did he know his plan would fall?

He was caught november 5th
This story is no myth
He was hung, drawn and quartered
He was obviously slaughted

Torture told them all his friends
This is where they met their ends
They killed them off one by one

<cant remember that line, dammit!>

Nowadays we celebrate
Rather than relentless hate
Many go their seperate ways
But this story always stays"

*goes and dies of embarrassment*

Re: Bad Poem, By Lucy.....

i think so....thats the usual punishment for traitors in England. either that or he was just hung.

you can still be hung these days for treason (like plotting to kill the Queen)...
