[mood |tiredtired]
[music |This song.]

Maybe the world is blind...
Or just a little unkind.
Don't know.

Seems you can't be sure, of anything anymore, although...
You may be lonely and then oneday you're smiling again,
everytime I turn around, I see the girl who turms my world around, standing there.
Everytime I turn around her spirits lifting me right off the ground

Everytime I turn around..
What's gonna be?
Guess we'll just wait and see.

That's the theme song to Punky Brewster! And I didn't know that or anything, I had to Google the lyrics, but learning new TV show themes is always fun. I even found a weird version of it without lyrics.

Googling is cheating!! :)

I just got the DVD's for the season.. $10! How great is that? I'm so happy. I'm watching it this second.. it's so cute. What a great show.

Thank you for finding the theme song! Now I can sing along to it.

I wish I had a microphone so I could record me singing it for you all to here...

alas.

as a matter of fact...
go to 'start'
'programs'
'accessories'
'entertainment'
'sound recorder'
just hit the record button, and

then just play the song up loud as you sing!!

you can save it and then post it up here!! aren't computers just oh so nifty?

Re: That would have been fun!

I gasped. My son laughed at me. My eyes widened, and I gave a little squeal of happiness. And people looked at me funny, but I didn't care.. because they were buying Northern Exposure.

My DVD's don't need a coatlike jacket cover.

I didn't look first, but

It's the theme song from the original "Punky Brewster."

Now, just don't pull out "Incredible American Superhero" too soon, or I'll have played out all my cards on American pop culture.

Re: I didn't look first, but

Oooh.. I don't think I know that. Should I? Would I recognize it if I heard it?

I was thinking about moving onto some Mutant Turtles pretty soon here.. of the teenage variety.

Re: I didn't look first, but

I've got nothing on the turtles. . .I'd only recognize the painters. I'm either too old or (more likely) was too securely isolated from Kid Kulture in the 80's to know much of their adventures.

Now that I think on it, I think it's "Greatest American Superhero". Curly blond guy. Jumped off a roof in the opening credit and fell. Then you'd see him riding shotgun and the seat would be depressed but with no one visible there.
"Believe it or not, I'm walking on air
Never thought I would feel so free. . ."

I know it was on 80-81. That's when I watched it.

Wow! I wasn't born until 84 so I don't remember that.. but did you watch American Gothic?

Good stuff.
