A coffee tree produces about 1lb of coffee beans per year.
there goes the 'backyard coffee tree' plan. guess im gonna hafta keep visiting the sexy guy who works at peets. lol.
Er, it's a little off topic, but how did you make those eyes above your username?
Hmm, another reason not to drink coffee. I do love a java once in a while, though I prefer to keep the tea pickers on their toes.
hahaha, i LOVE how the most no descript LJ post gets the greatest resopnse by far! lol. x
I know! LOL. I am always so surprised by what people comment on, and what they don't.
Coffee makes me hyper. lol.
I read that each tree can produce between one and twelve pounds depending on soil, climate, etc. They are also often kept short (6 feet rather than the natural 20) to produce more. They are very particular plants, need well draining soil, don't like hot extremes, can't handle frost, only want two hours of direct sunlight a day, etc.; so it'd be pretty hard to get maximum yield from them. Normally I don't drink coffee because I love the effect of caffeine if I'm not addicted, but lately it's been so difficult to be awake at all, I've been drinking a cup a day. I woke up early today, just because Nate came by to see if I wanted to go to the post office. That was sweet. I told him I had them redeliver it. So, instead of coffee on the weekends, I just sleep for twelve+ hours a night. I'm not addicted yet, so no headaches from that anyway. Lack of sleep gives me my nerve damage headache again, but on the weekends I'm good.
12+ hours of sleep a night?! omg, I am So jealous.
Lol. Yah, I can only do it on the weekends though. Seriously though, I NEED to do it every night. I've been thinking about taking this drug the Dr. offered that keeps you more alert. I feel like a walking zombie every day at work, on only seven or eight hours, and I guess lack of sleep is making me pretty sick too according to the Dr. I don't know. I think I'm going to have to cut back to part time if I can, because I'm Not giving up my life. Of the three; sleep, work, and life, I've given up sleep, but if I can't handle it, it's going to be work next.
