hey, chica

Dude, I'm 5'5 1/2", I wiegh 112, and all the fat people I work with make fun of me for being too skinny. I never make fun of them by the way. I don't think I Am too skinny because I don't try at all, but when I look at myself in the mirror, I DO look like a model. Good curves, boobs and butt, without too much bone exposure. You may have a much smaller bone structure than me, but don't let yourself get sick. I can't imagine 90 lbs. being good for someone as tall as you are. Supposedly, you should add 5 lbs. for every inch above 5', strarting at 100 lbs. I don't agree with that either, because I'm obviously NOT supposed to wiegh 130 lbs., and no doubt that would mean too much weight for a great number of people. I do agree with the idea that, you eat when you're hungry and not when you're not, and then you'll naturally come to a wieght that you don't gain or lose from, like I have, and when you have that stable weight, you're golden. Stability must mean you're doing something right, right?

When you get really skinny, even five lbs. makes a huge difference in appearance and health. You can go from being perfect, to quite bony and undernourished in ten lbs. So, yah, be careful.

Re: hey, chica

So I'm a little over five feet tall.. does that mean by your calculations I would be over weight if I weight mored then 110 pounds?

no, no, not my calculations

That's not at all what I said. I said everybody's different. I'm saying that adding the 5 lbs. for every inch over 100 lbs. does NOT work for everybody because it could be an estimate way too high, as it is for me, and probably others, or maybe way too little for a bunch of other people. Just be happy with the weight that you naturally gravitate toward. When you're not gaining or losing, you've got to be doing something right. That's all I'm saying. I get made fun of for being too skinny, but I'm very stable at 112, so it's got to be the right weight for me. Oh, and I'm healthy except for allergies and multiple sclerosis, which have nothing to do with weight. I don't agree with the calculation because it couldn't possibly be right for everyone. Everybody's different.

Re: no, no, not my calculations

I was just curious. At my skinniest when I was still a lot over 110, I looked scary skinny... so I was just clarifying. I wish people could be happy with their weight. The society sure doesn't support that though.

Re: no, no, not my calculations

Yah, it's so true. All the magazines make fun of the tiniest bits of cellulite on the backs of thin women's legs, and do you think guys give a shit about that. And then those same mags. make fun of girls they think are too skinny. Every once in a while the same people who are made fun of are also shown in a glamorous light, but nobody's beyond those who just don't want anybody to feel good about their weight. In my experience, everybody likes a different size body anyway. I found somebody who liked skinny girls. Yay me. I also know, actually a lot more guys, who like a girl to weigh about fifty to a hundred pounds more than me, even several inches shorter. Good for them too. Yay them.
