I still watch All in the Family at night. It's really good.
I can honestly say I have never seen it. Of this list the only ones I've ever seen were The Waltons and M*A*S*H, and those were both against my will.
i love how i've only heard of 3 of them. that makes me sad. and young.
I know! I had never heard of four. And am only slightly familiar with a couple of the others.
i've heard of all of them, but the best one by far is all in the family. yeah carol o'conner!
We got two votes for All in The Family now. :) Anyone else want to check in?
Never heard of Chico and the Man, but I've heard of the rest.
I'm also voting for All in the Family :)
Yeah, I hadn't heard of Chico and the Man either! And it was way up there. After a google search this is what I found:
" Ed Brown was a cantankerous old widower who owned and operated a small filling station in Los Angeles. He hired a fast-talking, cheery young Chicano, Chico Rodriguez, to help him run the place. Since Chico also lived in the garage, the two were always together, and when they weren't bickering between themselves, they came to a greater understanding of each other's generation and culture. They even learned to love each other. When Chico left Ed to start his own business (in actuality, actor Freddie Prinze committed suicide), Ed discovered a new "Chico"-a 12-year-old boy named Raul--and invited him to move in."
And that's Freddie Prince Jr. of I Know What you Did Last Summer and Scooby Doo fame's, Dad.http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070975/
The sitcom only lasted four years.
-- Looks like All In The Family is definitely on top so far.

I added you because you're super cool.
Aww! Thanks. :) ♥ I'll add you of course too!
What's your favorite of the above shows?

Hmm....I actually don't like them. Happy Days was always my fav.
That's on a different list. *nod* I've got a whole bunch of these I'll post occasionally.

Chatting wiff you sounds oooodles o'fun.
I have an AIM name. LJRandomposting? RandompostingLJ? One of those. Thing is my laptop's broken right now and that's the computer that has my AIM stuff so I've been a little absent from the chatting seen. Eventually though I shall return. :) I think it says if it's with the LJ first or last on my info page. :)
Man, I gotta start watching All In The Family! It seems to be just about the Universal favorite.
Good Times was preachy? What was it about?
Well that last episode of M*A*S*H would make anyone teary from what I've heard of it.
I loved Rhoda, it was really funny!
I think a girl in it now plays Marge Simpson, or her sisters....
Oh if it's that woman she IS funny! She's on Tracey Ullman's show.
M*A*S*H will allways be in my top 10.
Oooh. I should have asked for everyone's top ten tv shows. I'll have to do that in the future. :)
God. I'm old.
I remember watching all of these shows. I could probably tell you tag lines and/or theme songs from each of them. My favorite was Maude, I think because she and my mom had the same hairstyle.
Oh I love hairstyles from back then. ;)
And you're not old.
My grandma's old.
Wow, that's an amazing coincidence. Someone mentioned Sanford and Son to me yesterday and I'd never heard of it. Turns out it was the American version of the British Steptoe and Son, and was actually really funny.
It's so interesting all the shows America has ruined from England. ;) It's nice to see occasionally we don't muck it up too much.
And hey, I love to make coincidences for everyone. :)
I remember watching M*A*S*H and The Jeffersons re-runs as a child and young adult... ya, a LOT has changed in television... but some is the same. OH OH OH, cheesy Matrix quote, "Somethings change, and somethings never change."
lol, I'm sure that quote's been in more then just the matrix. I've said it myself I think and I've never seen the matrix.
Which was your favorite of those you've seen on the above list?
