Mickey Mouse was originally created as a replacement for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, a character Walt Disney had created, along with Ub Iwerks, for Universal Studios. When Disney requested a larger budget for his popular Oswald series, Universal quickly fired him and hired other artists and writers to work on the show--to which Universal owned all the rights. Disney learned an important lesson from this incident and made sure that, in the future, he owned the rights to all of his creations.
And for all the dorks. :)
Star Trek as the A Team.
I like some of them, but generally stick to pete's dragon and beyond.

Pete's Dragon...srsly? Robin Hood came out before that, and it's awesome..
Of course, I have a pretty huge soft spot for the WD legacy...Been to DisneyWorld 3 times in the last 5 years.
Aww, I like Robin Hood too, and Sleeping Beauty. Loooove Pete's Dragon though. =)

I preferred the apple dumpling gang for 'live' productions...the story line was just so much more complex!!
I was 6 when Pete's came out..I saw it in a theater in Marble Falls. It was grand.
Aww! That's so cool! I've passed on my love to my kid and my nieces who all love it now too. =) I wasn't born yet, but I wore out the vhs that we used to rent from the local video place, and the owners were friends of the family so when they ordered a new one they got me one too. =)
you know I always loved the old donald duck cartoons. Micky never interested me too much.
Yeah, my kid prefers Donald too. :) I was kinda blah about both of them as a kid.
that star trek was excellent, thank you (geek here) i need that laugh heh. i posted it also on stumble upon. do you ever use that site?
I don't use stumble upon. My plate is full for internet sites. lol. ;) I can barely keep up as it is, but I bet it'd be a good place to look for future links for her. :) I' glad you enjoyed, m'dear!
yeah really stumble can easily take over one's life. But some great links are there.
I'll take a peek, but I won't make an account. I can't do it.
That was cute! The guy did a nice job getting the action and sound effects to be in sync.
How's the job stuff going? (Or is it too soon to ask??)
I thought so too! I was impressed.
And they said I'd know in a week, and that was Wednesday. Soooo. I'm not holding my breath. I'm under qualified, but it had a lot of arts things to it, so I would be really good at it. I just don't have the qualifications they're looking for. They want a graduate degree. hahaha. I need to finish my undergrad first. The fact that I got an interview was an anomaly.
LOL! I love it! I would wear it. =)
Man, I wonder how many Star Trek guys have printed out that pic and put it up in their cubicle or bathroom. hahaha. ;)
