I know many of you were moved by the video that was posted awhile back with Randy Pausch and his "Last Lecture". He passed away today at 47 years old. Here's the video once more, for those who want to see it again.

It would take 45.36 million years to reach the nearest star, Proxima Centauri, in a car going 65 mph.

And that's your fact of the day.

And here's a scene from Beetlejuice.. in case you need a smile.

See, that I did not know. I never knew Beetlejuice's geographical location. Or if I did, I had forgotten it until now.

Now I think the movie is suppose to take place in upstate NY, the reason lydia's folks moved there was so her father could relax.

But I do have a tendency to speed, just ask my husband...

So how long if I went 70 MPH?

Of course. So sad for his family, but I'm glad he was able to spend more time then originally anticipated with them.

Definitely one of my favorite scenes from Beetlejuice. I remember going to the movie theater to see it. I was seven! It was kind of a birthday present to my mom because I knew she liked things like that -- scary kinda things. She asked me if I might be too scared and I said, "No, it's supposed to be funny!" I was only a little bit scared towards the end.

my uncle has been living with pancreatic cancer for the past four years, and is on a downward slope. Randy Pausch was and is an inspiration for anyone touched by the disease. thanks for sharing him with me.
