|Calling all Weiner songs.

The Oscar Meyer Weiner song was once so popular that people would request for it to be played on the radio.
What's the last song you heard on the radio?
Turn, Turn, Turn - The Byrds
How to Use a Telephone. From 1927. :)
My closest girlfriend (the one you remind me of) was in the oscar mayer bologna commercial with the little girl sitting on the end of the pier. We sing that song to her to bug her!
That's adorable!! Does she still act?
No. Her parents wouldn't let her do any more. They didn't want her to grow up with the child-star syndrome. I think maybe it would have been better that way then the way she did grow up.
I'll pass it along. She likes hugs from strangers!
She sounds a lot like me.
oh, and the last song I heard on the radio was prolly something by Tool.(I dislike Tool)
That's cool. :) Me too, but I always put my son down for his nap to the oldies station. :)
Journey's new singles are out but some stations are refusing to play them in favor of their older songs. The group is considered classic rock by most formats, but since they haven't stopped putting out music, their newer material often gets shafted.
So far the song that seems to be getting the most recognition is "After All These Years". "Never Walk Away" has also been getting lots of radio airplay.
Radio politics can be frusterating sometimes.
Ooh, interesting. I didn't know that they were still around. Whooops.
Wow. Could you imagine them playing a...(can't think of any recent ad jingles)...recent ad jingle on the radio?

If counting my iPod, then "My Name is Mud" by Primus. I love that song. :D
So cool, that video! I'm going to dig around more to see how people handled the switch. Neat!
I remember seeing PETA protest while kids were auditioning for the commercial infront of the weiner mobile, As this one kid was trying to sing he got so frustrated he turned to them and louder than any grown-up there yelled "SHUT UP!!!"
last song on the radio, somthing by Jimmie cliff
I dont think I remember the last song I heard, i listen to talk radio in the morning. But the last piece of news on NPR I heard before I drove into work was regarding Bush's latest visit to Israel.
And the huge bomb. :( So sad.
The last song I remember actually listening to on the radio was Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours". Love it.
Have you heard the one about the Oscar Meyer song? Okay, some guy was stranded and he found a magic lamp (some people tell it as a magic boot) and there's a genie. The genie gives three wishes, standard bit. The guy asks to be un-stranded and rich(ly situated). After finding himself in his new ritzy house replete with flashy sports car, he tells the genie he'll make the third wish tomorrow. The next day, he's driving in his sports car and he turns on the radio. He starts to sing along..."I wish I were an Oscar Meyer weiner..."
