Yuck. [Apr. 20th, 2008|11:31 am]
[mood |draineddrained]
[music |Spongebob Squarepants]

In honor of watching Candygirl Last night, I bring you a pedophile being interviewed. I found it on Dwaleberry's journal first, and thieved it for your viewing unpleasure. F'ng scary. Really f'ng scary. I know it's not my usual fare, but some of you are from Australia, and some of you have kids, so.. just in case Im posting it. Ugly stuff.

The recipe for the Schagschocken dessert from Zurich Sqitzerland, calls for 12 pounds of cream, sugar, eggs, honey and chcolate all reduced down into a single four inch squar of the dessert. Warning The swiss are used to this rich treat but visitors have been known to pass out from eating a single serving.

Zurich is awesome! I never saw that when I was there.

I did get a really weird hot dog in Zurich though.

That youtube made me sick, I couldn't even finish it. I don't know what it's like in Australia but, the way our legal system deals with sexual predators is just a joke.

Agreed. It's vile. I think people who hurt children like that need to be seriously dealt with.

That dude is f-ing creepy! Just...ew.

That dessert sounds deadly. That's a ton of stuff to reduce down to that point. Getting the ickies just from thinking about it! ;)

Honestly the sensationalism and aggressive tactics used by the reporter were almost as disturbing to me. Not that the guy deserves privacy, but that lecturing a pedophile about how he should feel bad for doing something he obviously doesn't view as wrong just for viewership is kind of...bizarre.

I'm sensitive to pedophiles and rapists (meaning I sense them, it's one of my psychic things) and, it's not that I'm used to seeing them, but I see them so often that to me it's kind of not shocking to see them on TV with the pedo label. It does bear considering though that these sort of people are EVERYWHERE. Grocery store, mall, gas station, you do not go a single day without being in proximity to someone like that. Seeing a weirdo on TV is not a good reason to be aware of your kids and your surroundings, knowing that they are EVERYWHERE, at least in American society, should be reason enough.

I think it's good that this guy is on tv, so that people can see his face and know what he is, so they can keep their children far away.

I think racists and pedophiles should be branded on their forehead so that everyone knows what they are, personally.

I also didnt like the sensationalism....

Obviously the guy was crazy, first of all... my guess is the picked someone who was just crazy enough to be a frightening individual even WITHOUT being a convicted child rapist/molester but not actually crazy enough to have to stay locked up in an asylum.

There is something about a lack of feeling of responsibility when it comes to child molesters/rapists... pedophilia is a frighteningly common desire, and the people who decide to indulge, often feel its not "their fault" because it was something they felt they HAD to do... these are the same people who are used to giving in to vices like alcohol, drugs, anger and lying already,... but they just never really realize what they did to another person because of the pleasure THEY felt.. and because the children or teens usually experience pleasure, too... just because that is how our bodies work.

So, they just totally have NO real empathy about it and feel that its not their fault they feel this way, and it shouldnt be their fault if they act on it.

This is why the recidivism is high and why therapy does not change long-term recidivism rates. (Another problem with tracking molestation recidivism rates, is most rapes and molestations are NOT reported at all... and its easy to scare or shame the children into being quiet.. if you learned from your mistake the first time)

My uncle said that he, "just wanted to show her how much he loved her" when he turned himself in for molesting his 9 year old granddaughter, "I thought she wanted it too... she looked at me with so much love, it seemed like she knew and wanted it."

Of course, then he became born again (AGAIN! blech) and said that the Devil made him do it... and so far has been sticking to that ever since. He also started going to a church lead by a convicted child molester and his brother-in-law who he HATED for being a child molester.. they're now friends.

Its fucking horrifying... and way more common than we dare to think.

The best way to combat it is not killing perpetrators (no matter how satisfying that might feel... but as we know, satisfaction might come at a BIG cost) but teaching children to stop being afraid of adults, stop being afraid of their parents, stop giving adults the benefit of a doubt just because they're older and teaching kids not to automatically trust adults or fear them like they do now.

If kids felt that they could tell a creepy adult to fuck off and run away screaming... if they were allowed to know that their parents DO NOT OWN THEM,... we could get more perps in prison and keep kids a lot safer just by teaching them to run away and speak up.

I think anyone who rapes a child should be put to death, and anyone who molests a child should be locked away for the rest of their lives. Not life in prison meaning 20 years.. I mean forever. Putting the responsibility on the abused children is offensive to those who have suffered, I feel.

He is only acting like that because of what others have treated him like. He's pulling the "YEAH, I'M A MONSTER. BOOOOO!" routine. He's not serious. He's a guy who thinks it's ok to have sex with kids, and has spent a life beaten and striped by society because his values include destroying the invaluable. The problem is his unrepentance makes him an ongoing danger--how'd he get OUT of prison? He belongs in a MINIMUM security prison.

on the lighter note

Damn and I thought 3 sugars in my cup of coffee was pushing it.

. . . . I sort of want to try it. Just a bite. Just an square inch. That's only 3 pounds of each ingredient, right? less!

I CAN TAKE IT. I may become an addict, but it could be worth it. *catches next flight to Switzerland*

sick world we live in

There are sooooo many sex offender it's just insane! We had one living next door. Thank God they made him move because he was too close to the schools. I think it's scarey enough knowing someone is because they have to register but know there was most likely lots of victoms before they were caught and made to register. I'm more worried about people that have not been reported or prosecuted! People need to watch their kids at all times!

I am blown away this man was allowed to publish books on the subject! Even more make money on doing such evil things and teaching other how to. Is that not against the law in every country?

Since I am trying really hard to find the good in situations maybe everyone should read this book to learn what to watch out for. Get it from one of the library and not pay this monster money for his "how to" but learn "how to not let this happen" to our kid.
